Friday, May 24th 2013 Philharmonia Orchestra London performs in Dortmund, Konzerthaus Excerpts from the Robin Hood score. The conductor is Esa-Pekka Salonen.

5 years ago, the release oft the german translation of the korngold biography by B. G. Carroll was announced first time. Now, in 2012 Boehlau changed the status display from the book from "in planning" to "in production"- which means, I guess, the book will be published in a short time.

The label CANTUS CLASSICS will release at February 11th "Die Stumme Serenade" with EWK himself as conductor an pianist. (see. www.amazon.de)

Dear Anna, maybe you could try it via ORF-Audioservice. Some years ago I got from there the "die stumme serenade " recording.

Thank you for the answer. A couple of weeks ago I wrote an E-Mail to boehlau. No answer until today. :? Now I think it would make sense to ask the translator, Mr. Gruber. When I habe infos, I will post it.

....and no informations about a release date for the german translation

of the Korngold-Biography by Mr. Carroll. Since 2 years everybody can read on the page of the publisher Böhlau/ Vienna: "In Planung".

Does anybody know what has happend to the german translation of Mr. Carrolls Biography? He wrote, his book will be published this month. But a look on the webpage of the austrian editor Böhlau reveals no date for an upcoming release.

what has happened to the german translation of your Korngold-biography?

I've seen on the homepage of the editor Böhlau Wien, that date of release is unknown....

Naxos released a new album (only for download via www.classicsonline.com) with Much Ado about Nothing Suite and Improvisations a. o. All recordings from 1951 are conducted or played by Korngold himself
