That should be the recordings George Korngold-producer- and Charles Gerhardt-conductor- made for Readers Digest before they started the "Classic Filmscore" Serie for RCA. I am sure that the Orchestra playing is the same "National Philharmonic Orchestra-" lead by Sidney Sax- which did the RCA-recordi...

Much ado about nothing

I am back from my recent trip to Japan where, at Osaka, I performed among other works ( by J.Marx, Debussy, Prokofjew, Esser, Moeran and Beethoven)three times the "Much ado about nothing-Suite" in my transcription for Cello. The audience was very pleased with this work and one Concert was for the St...

I do not understand.
Brendan has given a very good and understandable answer to the question.

Just a very well and profound answer I would have written myself in the same way for a question like this.

I do not know why the Booklet credits the Warner Orchestra, which it does, but on the original LP-pressing from 1961 no Orchestra is credited. I own the same CD as you but also the original LP. I think that it was a trick not to credit the Orchestra in the first publishing, so everyone could read th...

Hello tjguitar, It is not the Warner Orchestra playing on this recording but the "Graunke Symphony Orchestra" of Munich, which today has changed its name in "Munich Symphony Orchestra" . At the time of this recording this was a small C-Categorie- Orchestra, but a really good one. Today it is a very ...

Here is the "Direct-Download" : http://rapidshare.com/files/41751505/Korngold.rar Stereo, 192kbps, mp3 In October I w...
