New CD

When posting details of a new recording, especially on a very obscure label as this is, it would be helpful if you could put the catalogue number and the source from which you were able to buy the disc. The link you provided to this violinst's website provides no information on the CD whatsoever so ...

HELIANE in LONDON

Just to let everyone know that the performance of HELIANE in London on Nov 21 was outstanding. Jessica Duchen's blog has many reports on the rehearsals and the actual concert itself plus photos and links to the (mostly) wretched reviews which I will not honour by repeating here. HOWEVER...If Korngol...

Opus 3

I believe this is the Dutch premiere of the orchestral version of the Maerchenbilder though they clearly do not know it. Why are actors involved? Will they read from the script of ROBIN HOOD in Dutch? How very strange!

You know...this is all very silly. I am a very nice guy. Ask anyone! 'Bee in the bonnet' is an old fashioned English phrase [because I am a very old fashioned Englishman] that simply means one is concerned about a matter. Nothing whatever to do with insects, bonnets or brains. OK? Just forget the wh...
