Hi,
I am a Swedish composer who loves the music of Korngold. I think I have all his music on records. Today I bought "Der Sturm" but... I still miss "Die stumme Serenade" "Der Vampyr" "Nixe", "Beim Grandmutterschen" and "Walz for Luzi". Is it possible to buy some of that music???

Dear Gunnar,
you can read on this side, where a recording from "Die stumme Serenade" ist available. It exists one recording from Radio Vienna.
The ORF-Audioservice makes a copy on CD for 46 EUR.

Sincerely
German Korngold Friend

Hi Gunnar, "Beim Großmütterchen" is printed in Jessica Duchens book "Erich Wolfgang Korngold" (the publisher is Phaidon) on page 24-25.Im sure its more fun to play yourself than to listen to!

Der Vampyr exists only in Mss but I am hopeful of reconstructing this score soon for a possible recording. I am also working towards the CD premiere of Stumme Serenade. Waltz fur Luzi & Nixe are unpublished and until Schott and the Korngold Family sanctions publication, it is unlikely you will hear recordings.
