Yes! :D

I've ordered five!

I may order more later (I have a shop).

I bet it'll be sold out by the end of the day.

Magic Fire

Thanks for this heads up!

I ordered two copies: one for myself and one to sell on eBay when the CD goes out of print!

I transfered the vinyl to mini-disc years ago with fine results, but it will still be nice to have this reissue on CD if it has been properly remastered.

For those of you that would prefer the LP, here is a buy-it-now on eBay:

Overview

Greetings!

This reissue on CD is a real service to Korngold collector's who can't be bothered with vinyl or don't have a turntable. (The LP shows up now and again on eBay). There is probably less interest in this soundtrack recording because it is not 100 per cent Korngold, but since Korngold started and ended his movie career as an arranger/adapter, this CD reissue is certainly important to any completist. Adding to that, Korngold plays the piano on five of the tracks. How rare is that?

This CD is a complete reissue of the LP, with no additions or deletions, and with the same liner notes by George Korngold that are on the LP jacket. I agree with Peter Timoney: the sound is fairly good.

The distributor has sold out but the CD is in the hands of various retailers, and it shows up on eBay at (already) sometimes horrible prices.

Happy holidays from San Francisco!
