Unfortunately, I've only heard bits and pieces of the recording that Hamelin made, but I don't see how you could possibly go wrong with him or Hyperion. The label is excellent: I have several CD's from them including the Saint-Saens works for piano and orchestra with Stephen Hough, the Mendelssohn works for piano and orchestra also with Stephen Hough, and two discs from their project to record the works of Robert Simpson, and all of them are fantastic. It goes without saying that Hamelin himself is one of the preeminent virtuosos working today.
