Books on E. W. Korngold

Post by D. Murphy » Fri Aug 16, 2013 1:19 am

Is there a library that acts as the unofficial/official repository of EWK written material? I've just acquired third copy of Julius Korngold's modest effort "Child Prodigy" signed by EWK. Thought there is a possibility of sending a copy along to such a place.

Hello!

What a wonderfully kind thought. Unfortunately, there isn't a central repository that could cover the international requirements and sheer geographical spread of the community of Korngold's admirers. I maintain possibly the largest archive in private hands (here in the UK) and there are Korngold archival collections in Vienna, Brno and of course at the Library of Congress in Washington, which preserves his paper estate..

I'm not sure what to advise you but hope that partially answers your query.

Best wishes
