I am not sure this IS the Japanese premiere of Opus 35 which has been a standard repertory piece there for some years there now.

The Japanese biographer of Korngold, our firend Takashi Hayasaki, found out that this performance in 1989 (!) was announced as Japanese premiere then. Publisher Schott has an office in Tokyo so that we may believe this as such, performed by Hidehiro Tokitsu, the Kyusyu S.O. cond. by Honje Kim.

No, I seriously doubt this was a premiere performance. Also, it appears cuts were made in the Much Ado About Nothing suite........or perhaps there is an abridged version around.
