Korngold House in Vienna
I'm wondering if the Korngold house (the one that was occupied by the Nazis) is still in existence, and if so, what the address is. I will be visiting Vienna in the near future, and would like to see the house if it's still there.
Korngold House in Vienna
All three properties where Korngold lived in Vienna are (amazingly) still standing.
The house occupied by the Nazis is at 35 Sternwartestrasse Wien 18
His home as a child was on the second floor of 7 Theobaldgasse near the Volksoper.
He also had a flat on the 3rd floor of 3 Franz Josefs Kai (1925-28)
Hope you can find them...

Damn!
I recently visited Vienna with just that kind of intention!
Unfortunately, I found no relevent information at the time, and no mention of Korngold in any tourists' guides and such, and gave up.
The only thing I did find (and that was the least I was hoping) was an extensive choice of his work on CDs, which almost doubled the size of my Korngold collection in one afternoon!
I must say what I was hoping was a museum devoted to Korngold (a street in his name? A street plate or statue?) or something in that taste.
One can only hope this will happen in the near future...
