I think most of it is Mendelssohn's material; even a great deal of his music not originally from MND which Korngold had adapted to fit the movie and be consistent with the instrumentation of the rest of the score made it into the final cut of the film. There are some segueing passages that are original though.

I'd strongly recommend the cpo recording (well, there's no choice anyway). A weird thing is that having become familiar with Korngold's romanticisation and expansion of the original Mendelssohn score, I now find the original a little bland!
