The article (from a Korngold blog and reprinted on this opera website (from Argentina!) is by Larry Rothe.
Larry Rothe is an interesting writer (based in Berkeley, California) and some on this list may already know his excellent book "For the Love of Music" (written with Michael Steinberg) from 2006. If not, I recommend it.
He has just published a history of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra to mark its centenary which has garnered excellent reviews.

This considered assessment of Korngold's most famous opera 'Die tote Stadt' is from a blog and offers much food for thought. Link follows below:
