I had to rub my eyes several times reading this extended, glowingly positive review of the Berlin Philharmonic's performance of Erich Wolfgang Korngold's Symphony in F# in Boston a few days ago, especially as I recalled the first reviews accorded its premiere recording almost 50 years ago by the Munich Philharmonic under Rudolf Kempe (no less).
