Die tote Stadt - San Francisco 2008

Die tote Stadt will be presented for the first time at San Francisco opera in Fall 2008. Conducted by Donald Runnicles, the cast will include Torsten Kerl (Paul) and Emily Magee (Marie-Marietta).
This may mean that finally, New York's Metropolitan will present it as well for the first time since 1921, so fingers crossed.
The production in SF is that of Willy Decker from Salzburg 2004, which will also be presented at Covent Garden in January 2009 (as posted on the Home Page of this site) marking the UK stage premiere of the work.
