Korngold's Sinfonietta - concert on BBC Radio 3

On BBC Radio 3, Wednesday March 16 at 1930 GMT, Korngold's wonderful early orchestral massterpiece the Sinfonietta Opus 5, will be performed by the BBC Philharmonic conducted by John Storgards. Radio 3 is available online and this concert will be available for one month.

Finally I am able to give you an update on this long saga. It appears that Leslie Korngold has now donated all of his rare sound recordings to the Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences. The CAMBRIA release is therefore unlikely to happen at all. Whether MPAAS will ever issue a CD of this price...
